And the lazy photographer of the year award goes to…

Have I become lazy? The following photographs were all taken from a single spot no more than 2 metres square. These images just go to show the different perspectives you can get on your world without moving very far if you just look carefully. (It also helps if you are in a cool place.)

All photos were taken from a small jetty at a municipal campsite in the French town of Bourg on the estuary of the Dordogne river near Bordeaux.

ASIDE: My apologies that I can’t do my usual trick of providing a neat hyperlink to more information on Bourg, but there are issues with my website provider (Squarespace) that are beyond my control.

For those interested in that kind of thing, all photos were taken using an Olympus OM-D M10 camera with a 12-50mm lens. Always set to idiot mode i.e. full auto. The nighttime photos were taken using a tripod and a… okay, this is all getting too technical. I point, I press, I hope. Sometimes it works.

It’s a camera. I know nothing more.

Anyway, enough of the jargon. Here are the photos. Which one is your favourite? Do let me know in the comments.

This is one of a group of coypus (pr: koy-pu) that appeared on the bank in the late afternoon. They are large (small-medium dog sized) semi-aquatic rodents. Introduced to Europe from Asia they are unfortunately considered to be a destructive pest, despite being very cute.
